new york

well, there’s no way i can cover everything angie and i did in new york, so i suppose here are a couple highlights (non-culinary ones–those have to be saved for another post :P).

 drive-thru cathedral

we walked across the brooklyn bridge in the early morning, and it was beautiful. i love how the boardwalk is above  the cars, so that you can see all around. it’s strangely serene, even though youre above all that crazy traffic.

central park on a sunday afternoon, with blue skies and not a cloud in sight. i love the skyscrapers in the background. i wanted to lay out in the sun, but we had wayy too much to do.

angie and i won the lottery TWICE for $20 front row tickets! here’s our awesome view of the stage for hairspray and rent!

we went to ground zero and the wtc tribute museum. it was really emotional. i don’t think anything can quite prepare you for when it hits you–and you just feel this overwhelming sense of loss. but they walk you through the healing process, and i think this is definitely, definitely worth seeing.

whee the subway! i love & totally miss using public transportation!

celebrities! we met like five of the rent cast members, but here’s the original roger, adam pascal. he is SO CUTE. hahaha. angie and i felt like giddy little schoolgirls, it was pretty embarrassing.

and we saw CHANNING TATUM filming his new movie, fighting. DAHHH! last but not least, i’ll leave you with the beautiful manhattan skyline by night.

haha. anyways, good job on the site, at first i thot it was stone-fleck wallpaper, so i dont know if u can make the contrast higher. =) but i like the patterned wallpaper. its classic.
